Prompt visibility is a brand’s presence in AI-generated responses to specific, relevant prompts — measured by how frequently the brand is mentioned, how prominently it appears, and in what context, across a defined set of query types. Prompt visibility is the AI equivalent of rank tracking. Just as traditional SEO tracks where a brand appears in Google results for target keywords, prompt visibility tracks where a brand appears in AI responses to target questions. It is a direct measure of whether LLMO and entity optimization work is translating into actual AI representation — and the primary KPI for AI search performance.
