Definition

Organization schema is a schema.org structured data type used to mark up an organization’s name, logo, contact information, founding date, social profiles, and sameAs links. It is the foundational entity schema for most brands optimizing for AI search. Organization schema is the structured data declaration that tells AI systems a brand exists as a recognized, defined entity. A fully implemented Organization schema — with name, URL, logo, foundingDate, description, sameAs links to Wikidata and Wikipedia, and social profile links — provides the complete entity record that AI systems need to represent the brand accurately and attribute content to it correctly.
